Do I Need a Legionella Risk Assessment?

If you are an employer, you control premises, or you're the statutory duty holder, you will need to undertake a Legionella risk assessment of the water systems within your premises that fall under your control. At Water Compliance Solutions, our fully trained Legionella risk assessors deliver detailed water safety risk assessments of all man-made water systems at your premises, together with a review of the risk management and written procedures you have in place to manage the risks associated with Legionnaires’ disease.

Guidance

In the UK, the requirement for a Legionella risk assessment is identified in the Approved Code of Practice L8 “Legionnaires’ disease: The control of Legionella bacteria in water system”. If you don’t fully comply with the guidance, or fail to carry out a suitable risk assessment, you could find yourself under investigation, or more seriously in court if an outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease is caused by water systems in your place of work.

Full Assessments

Our assessments enable you to identify your risks and by meeting the requirements of the ACOP L8, Health & Safety Guidance’s HSG274 and Care Quality Commission standard help you comply with the law.
